Driving Directions for April GCOOS meetings

From the Palace Casino to Gulf Coast Research Laboratory

The GCOOS meetings will be held at the Gulf Coast Research Lab in the Dining Hall and in three modular classrooms behind the Dining Hall. Driving directions from the Palace Casino Resort at 158 Howard Ave., Biloxi, MS are below:

  • Turn left onto Howard Ave.
  • Turn right onto Myrtle St.
  • Proceed to Beach Blvd. and turn right onto Beach Blvd. (Hwy 90). You will be heading west. (The Hwy. 90 bridge that you see on the map was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.)
  • Proceed to Interstate 110 and turn right onto Interstate 110.
  • Proceed north to Interstate 10; go east on I-10.
  • Exit at Exit 50. Turn right on Hwy 609 (South).
  • Proceed south on Hwy 609 to Bienville Blvd (Hwy 90). Continue across Beinville. This is now Washington St.
  • Turn left onto Government St.
  • Proceed east on Government St. to Halstead Rd. Turn right.
  • Proceed south to the end of Halstead Rd. The Gulf Coast Research Lab will be on your left.

After turning in at the Gulf Coast Research Lab, go straight past the entrance to the J. L. Scott Marine Education Center and Aquarium, and then bear left. There will be a small brick dormitory building on the left, and then you will see a white building on the left which is the Dining Hall. You may park in any available parking space on the GCRL campus.
