Lavaca Bay's shallower sediments
targeted for mercury pollution cleanup

Time course measurements of different forms of mercury inside a (benthic flux) chamber placed over the bottom sediments. MMHg is released to the water column from sediments during the night when photosynthetic organisms on surface sediments are inactive. Back to the article.
