The panoply of interests and interconnections held by our faculty provides a unique environment for students. Our faculty educate students in the classroom and develop their research skills by involving them directly in research ashore and on ships in all oceans of the world. Our faculty and research scientists conduct research around all seven continents in the four major oceans – Atlantic, Pacific, Indian and Arctic – making us one of the top oceanographic research centers in the country.
