- Assimilation of satellite passive microwave (SMMR/SSMI) sea-ice concentration data into global sea-ice - ocean general circulation model (OGCM)
- Enhancement of resolution of sea-ice component in global OGCM toward SMMR/SSMI pixel resolution
- Modify atmospheric forcing over heterogeneous sea ice employing subgrid-scale boundary layers
