Research Interests

I am fundamentally interested in reconstructing changes in ocean circulation at intermediate depths (500-2000m) in the past.  Most of my work has thus far focused on the Eastern Pacific in the latest Pliestocene. I use a variety of methods, including foraminiferal assemblage work, stable isotopes (C, O), and radiogenic isotopes (Nd, Sr). I have also begun to apply my skills further back in time, to the Cretaceous in the Atlantic and Indian sectors of the Southern Ocean.
